Mark's Biography

Mark L. Chambers specializes in the valuation, sale, acquisition, merger, and strategic planning of aviation services companies.   Mark also leads ARGI's consulting practice which specializes in operational reviews, advisory services, and Airport Administration. He has more than 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, including holding an executive position with an aviation services company that specialized in engineering STCs, an aircraft design company, and a commuter airline.

Prior to joining ARGI, Mark held a progression of senior management roles with Atlantic Aero, a North Carolina-based aviation service company. He also was responsible for restructuring and managing all aircraft operations, including turbojet aircraft and a fleet if Cessna Caravans, that serviced the overnight package industry. Further, he successfully led efforts to introduce evolving technologies into managing aircraft operations including electronic engine monitoring and satellite tracking.

Prior to joining Atlantic Aero, Mr. Chambers was retained by an private equity investment group backing a faltering aircraft design company. He was responsible for completion of the design effort and delivering the final product, fulfilling all customer commitments.  The Company was later sold to one private investor who took the company forward and won several design awards.

Prior to his most recent aviation experience, Mr. Chambers worked as a Strategic Management consultant for 7 years at the Hay Group in Philadelphia and Chicago, where he specialized in post-merger corporate restructuring and organizational effectiveness for Fortune 500 companies.  Further, he grew a staff of 5 Associates and conducted national seminars in both practice areas.

Mr. Chambers soloed in a Cessna 150 at age 16 and started his aviation career as a lineman fueling aircraft. He worked his way through college as a flight instructor and charter pilot.  After graduation, he worked for 5 years as General Manager for a FBO and commuter airline operation prior to completing graduate school.

Mr. Chambers earned an undergraduate degree at Purdue University in Aeronautical Engineering. Further, his Graduate Degree is an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Mark has logged approximately 4,200 hours of flight time and holds an ATP certificate and a CitationJet type rating.
